For the last couple of years I have donated the money I would spend on cards and postage to a charity. This year I am wanting to donate said money to Colchester Emergency Night Shelter. I am also asking the hair clients at HiddenBeautyHairCo to donate too rather than give us a 'christmas gift'. Most people think nothing about spending £4 on their daily lunch or a takeaway coffee.
This would pay for a bed for the night at the night shelter. A place of warmth, a chance to have a shower and a meal, all stuff we take for granted. A lot of the people who are homeless are there due to circumstances out of their control. With the season of giving upon us my aim this year is to donate about enough money so 10 people have a bed over the festive season.
