Hi Guys,

In March 2020 I will be spending a month out in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region of Ghana as a volunteer. My time out there will be spent working closely with Enliven Mama Africa on supporting young Mothers and their Children through a number of initiatives.

Enliven Mama Africa is a Non-Government and Voluntary Organisation with no political or religious affiliation. All projects are solely run by their teams and funded by donations which is why this Volunteering Program is so vitally important to this amazing cause.

I’m aiming to raise a minimum of £1000 that will go towards food, accommodation while I am out there, as well as the projects themselves.

With this in mind, I have decided to take the opportunity to really challenge and push myself to raise the £1000 by swimming the length of the River Thames.

Nope, not the real Thames just the length of it, which is a massive 215 miles / 346Km / 13,760 lengths of the pool, or equivalent to swimming the English Channel 10+ times.

So far I’ve swum 32miles / 2048 lengths of the pool.

To achieve the rest of this challenge I need to swim 3-4miles every week from now until March 2020. This is going to be one heck of a challenge physically and mentally, but I’m completely committed and I hope you can help me achieve this goal?

I fully understand that there are a lot of requests at the moment, so I’m truly grateful for all donation.
