    Story

A female feral cat left her kitten in my garden in August 2015. A few days later another female feral cat left her two kittens in my garden. They all hid in the hedge, only coming out for food. As autumn approached I put some cat beds in my shed for them. I called the kittens Parsley, Dill and Bayleaf.

The winter that year was windy with torrential rain.

Eventually, all three kittens stayed in the house. Parsleys Mum was unapproachable.

In May 2016 Parsleys Mum had another litter of kittens, and brought them to my garden. These kittens stayed in the shed but would not stay in the house.

The four kittens over the next 12 months died from the busy road outside the house.

Parsleys Mum had her third litter of kittens in my garden in September 2016. She fell pregnant while nursing the second litter.

There were six kittens in the third litter. Because they were born in September, I knew if they stayed outside, even in the shed, they would perish, so I brought all six kittens inside. The mother cat followed.

Despite keeping Parsleys Mum in the house all winter, she came into season and got out one day. During this time she fell pregnant again.

One afternoon in May 2017 Parsleys Mum walked into my house lay on the lounge floor and gave birth to six kittens.

All cats and kittens are now neutered and living indoors. They need exercise, and fresh air, but it's far too dangerous here with the busy roads to let them out.

Recently, Hector became very ill with a blocked bladder and needed treatment at the vets for six days. This treatment cost £500.

Tiger Cub has just been diagnosed with fatty deposits in his body. He is in the vets at the moment.

I want to 'cat proof' part of the garden so the cats can safely explore outside.

I am fundraising for two vet bills, and to build an outdoor enclosure for the cats.
