I will be accompanying a group of construction students that I work with at North Kent College to South Africa in November 2018. The project we are undertaking aims to, with the help of an army of volunteers, complete the construction of a school in a township just outside of Cape Town, providing a quality education facility for local underprivileged children. The initiative, lead by Mellon Educate, has built and sustained 18 schools and 25,000 houses since 2002, and this specific project must be completed in no more than just one week! Stay tuned for several fundraising events that will be occurring over the coming weeks and months, but any and all contributions to the attached JustGiving page would be hugely appreciated, I will of course keep you updated brick-by-brick as I actually do a hard day’s work for once, come November.
