Story
Last year we lost a very much loved lady called Margaret Griffiths to cancer. She is a massive loss to all of us who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her husband Peter, two daughters Kirby & Michaela a Grandaughter Sienna and lots of other family & friends. Mags was such a stronge character and fought so hard to stay with us all. Sadly she died in August last year age 61. She never moaned through all the treatment she endured and always smiled. There was one thing she hated and that was having blood taken or having a cannula put in to undergo chemotherapy. Her picture above depicts one method they used to try to help coax her veins to the surface. Sadly, this is a common occurance in patients who need to have cancer treatment and they have many”needle” stabs until a perfect vein is identified.
What if I told you there is a piece of equipment avaiable to identify where the perfect and most appropriate vein is? This clever piece of equipment is a vein scanner and is held over the arm/ hand and it scans the area and then shows up all the veins and where they are. The Clinician can then make the call which vein is best!! Hey presto! The patient only needs to have one attempt and it also frees up clinician time and patient anxiety is almost alleviated.
Mags would be so pleased that we are raising this money in her name and that other people will benefit in so many ways. Please help us achieve this by donating to this cause. Sadly, the cancer statistics dictate that 1 in 3 of us will get cancer. Lets do this and make a difference. Thank you so much.

6 years agoThank you so much for all of your donations so far. We have £950 via just giving and have had other donations directly into a dedicated bank account. We have nearly £2000. This is fantastic but we still need £1000 to be able to reach our target of £3000. Please please help us to achieve this in memory of a very special lady. Thank you.
