Hi, I am Derek and I would like to request for financial help in order to support my family and build myself in the community.

I am the sole bread-winner in the family and am currently jobless since November, 2018 and have no source of income whatsoever; my mom (62) has Type 2 Diabetes and dad (60) has high blood pressure and cholestrol. Both live with me and I need to give them ongoing medical care and home treatment. Personally, I need to have a colonoscopy done very urgently as it has affected my health for a long time now (I wasn’t able to do so while I was working simply because I could not afford it and Insurance did not cover the cost). If the colonoscopy is successful in filtering out any harmful bacteria then I’m good to go, otherwise there would be a need for additional surgeries/operations. This has been holding me back for many years now and affects me as a working individual as well so it would be marvelous to finally get it done.

Since my father retired 5 years ago, it has been challenging to maintain expenses and daily living so I had to resort to credit cards and I currently have debts totalling up to AED 50,000.

It is my sincere dream to recover from this illness, get rid of these liabilities at the earliest and support my family in every way possible.

I hope that my message can penetrate though the depts of people’s hearts so that I can finally cross over this turmoil and in doing so we would be completing a truly humane feat!!
