To anyone who has crossed paths with our Uncle Dermot will know that he is the most Irish person you will ever meet. Though his controversial humour may fool you, those who know Dermot will tell you he is the most generous, selfless and loving man you will meet.

Unfortunately, last year Dermot's health, mobility and independence deteriorated considerably and in January it was found that Dermot had Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's. Despite the bad news Dermot's spirit has never wavered and with support of his family and The Pier Pub regulars, he's still pulling the odd pint and insulting customers better than ever...

If you know Dermot from his profound place in FiveMileTown or his expertise in bartending at The Pier Bar and Restaurant in Upnor and love him just as much as we do, please help us fulfill his one ultimate wish.

We're looking to raise a minimum of £500 to take Dermot to Canada to see Niagara Falls in September while he still has the ability to walk independently and get the full experience from this beautiful landmark.
