DARG is an adoption facility that is home to 240+ animals. We provide a sanctuary for these dogs, cats and farm animals who were abused, abandoned or neglected.

On average, DARG attends to between 30-45 emergencies and sick animals weekly. We frequently have sick or injured cats and dogs brought to our gates from the surrounding impoverished areas of Imizamo Yehtu and Hangberg. Due to the lack of education in these areas, abuse and neglect are sadly a reality for many of the animals. Whether it be a dog attack, an animal hit by a car or one with a virus or medical conditions such and mange, Parvo, etc. DARG is there to assist.

We also try to focus on the importance of sterilization to prevent pet overpopulation.

DARG does not receive any government assistance whatsoever and relies on the goodwill of members of the public.
