Me and Peter are volunteering in an orphanage in the bush near Mtwapa, Kenya for 3 months. Our funds are limited and spent. There are many areas where we want to help. Peter’s job is to do maintenance work. He has to build a pen for the calves to protect them from poachers. There’s a water tank to be fixed. Two of the young boys from the Orphanage are learning welding. Peter’s welding skills would be put to greater use if he could have access to a welding set and tools. Another focus is to ensure we enable the 57 children at the Good Life Orphanage to experience what we take for granted: a trip to the local beach or the zoo. We took about 15 kids to the beach last Saturday and one of the disabled children went in the ocean for the first time. Can’t describe the pure joy he showed! It would be wonderful to take all children on day trips. The care, love and the treatment children receive at The Good Life Orphanage is exceptional. We just want to play our part to continue the excellent work. With your help, we can be more effective. Any amount you can donate will be used to make a difference.
