Dr Econs and his team at Airedale Allergy Centre have been treating patients with intolerances, sensitivities and various debilitating illnesses for many years, often when NHS services have failed to make a difference. In October 2018, following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission, the clinic was deemed 'a serious risk to the health and wellbeing of patients'. Since this time, we have been unable to perform any patient activity, risking a fine of up to £50k and/or imprisonment if found to be breaching the regulations. A 2 day tribunal in December has materialised into a 7 day hearing, hopefully to be concluded mid April 2019. If we are successful, we do not know how soon we will be allowed to resume treating patients.

While we are unable to have any patient activity, this also means that no income is coming into the clinic. Dr Econs has done what he can to ensure that the clinic remains sustainable up to now.

We know how much difference the treatments we provide make to the lives of our patients and we hope to be able to provide them again in the near future.
