    Story

In 2017, 5,821 suicides were recorded in Great Britain. Of these, 75% were male.

In September of 2018 the town of Morley was shook with the devastating news that an amazingly popular and well-loved character took their life. To the outset he was brilliantly funny, always had a smile and was a genuine, good-hearted human being. It hit home and showed us just how important it is to understand that you, and no one else, knows exactly what some people are going through inside and to treat everyone with the upmost love and respect. This is why we are helping MINT - Men In Need Together who are absolutely essential for making sure we can understand, maybe not completely but more so, what's going on inside someone's head. MINT was created to give men a place and a community where they feel positive and safe talking about their feelings and mentality without a judgement and with love.

Suicide is the most common cause of death for men aged 20-49 years in England and Wales

But not only in person, MINT also offer an excellent online support service on social medias. For the people who are nervous about speaking in front of a group, they give you support over Facebook, WhatsApp and all the major social medias. It's the absurd notion that a man should just "man up" about his problems and to keep them "bottled up" to themselves. MINT gives an invaluable stance against this nonsensical stereotype and allows men to talk to people, and other men who are also suffering, about their problems and/or mindsets. It's so, so important to talk to someone when you go through times of trouble and it helps wonders to talk with people who are also suffering - or even just getting things off your chest.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Don't man up, speak up.
