In partnering with these charities, DONT WALK is thrilled to contribute to its overall fundraising total of £260,000 in support of such charities that are both innovative and modern in their nature.

Families First St Andrews

DON’T WALK is equally thrilled to be partnering with a local charity, Families First-St Andrews (FFSA), located at the heart of St Andrews. Established in 2001, FFSA aims to provide practical help and support to families experiencing difficulties and to provide a service relevant to their needs. More precisely, FFSA focuses on children aged between 5 to 16 years old who have additional support needs. Not only offering Family Support, the charity core services rest on One-to-one briefing for children requiring added support and Children’s Group Work. In other words, it aims to reduce isolation, develop self-esteem and improve social skills. Families First is represented by a small team of staff, and benefit from more than 100 volunteers to help deliver services such as Holiday Activities, Befriending and Family Support.

Robin Hood Foundation

Robin Hood is New York’s largest poverty fighting non-for-profit organisation. Founded in 1988, this charity has focused on finding, funding, and creating programs and schools that generate meaningful results for families in New York’s poorest neighbourhoods. Robin Hood combines the principles of investment and philanthropy in order to eradicate poverty. Robin Hood has raised over two billion dollars to provide goods and services to the most effective soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools, job-training programs and other vital services. This has proved to be very successful as it is currently keeping more than 200,000 New Yorkers from going hungry, securing jobs for more than 10,000 people while helping another 11,000 to find homes and off the streets. Robin Hood’s pioneering way of operating not only creates a huge impact, but also represent a model for charities around the world to adopt.It is for these reasons that DON’T WALK is excited to renew its partnership with Robin Hood.
