Very soon after May 5th the Modbury Harriers hounds will be joining the Dart Vale & South Pool Harriers hounds at Little Oaks Kennels, near Halwell.

As is often the case, time and weather have taken their toll on building structures, and the kennels and hound lodges are in need of a little improvement, and some TLC is required, to install new concrete floors to stop puddles forming, and to improve drainage, so that our combined forces of hounds have comfortable lodgings when they return home at the end of a successful day. Also some doors need replacing, fencing needs improving, hound exercise paddocks need making good. There are also a few electrical requirements (lighting, sensors, etc).

We don't need to tell you that all of this costs money, and for various reasons this season subscriptions and caps have been down. We have absolute faith in the future of the - soon to be merged - Dart Vale, South Pool, and Modbury Harriers (DVSPMH) and believe that we shall have some great trail hunting next season. However, we're also about to go into our 'quieter' fundraising period, which is why we are launching this appeal.

If you can donate anything at all - considering £5 from 20 people is £100, and £5 from 200 people is £1000 - literally the smallest amount can make the biggest difference, we, and especially our fantastic packs of hounds, would be extremely grateful.
