Weʼve raised £0 to fund the Eastside Carnival

    Story

In the Eastside, we all love our carnival and want to keep it going for future generations. So many people make such an effort to make it the day it is, however, it is just a small committee that organises the event itself. We are concerned that because of the amount of work involved for a small amount of people, it would only take a change in circumstances for one of the committee to put the event at risk. We’ve realised recently that we probably have to work harder to raise funds for the event than actually organising it. To help make the event more sustainable, we have set up this page for people who attend the carnival to donate on a monthly basis. The hope is that, with a guarenteed income, we can spend less time organising raffles, programmes, looking for sponsors etc and concentrate on more on organising and improving the event. Even a £1 month can help a lot if enough people support. Please share the page and get your friends and family signed up too

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
