Story
After months and months of nagging from our daughter about having a dog we finally decided that we would think about it. When we mentioned it to our friend Andy he suggested we look at rescue staffs as his family had always had them. He convinced us that it was not possible to get a more loving and loyal dog than a staffie so we started looking on the rescue sites and found Eddie at a rescue kennels. We went to see him and immediately fell in love with him even though he was very nervous and hand-shy. Although we do not know anything about the first 2 years of his life, it didn't take long ,once we got him home, for him to settle in and come to life. We took him to training classes and over time he has turned into a very loving, affectionate and playful part of the family. He goes everywhere with us and absolutely idolises the kids. When we first got him, the idea was to do him a good turn and give him his forever family however he has paid us back a million times over and we now feel that we owe him the chance to carry on with the life he loves.
When we took him to the vets after feeling a small lump, the vet did a full set of bloods which were all fine. They found the lump on a scan and told us that because of his good bloods there is every chance of a successful removal. Even though he is now 8 years old we always get comments on how fit and strong and active he is, and people can't believe it when we tell them his age.
If you are in a position to do so, we would really appreciate any donations however small to help make our poorly dog better.
Thank you.
