    Story

    Lovely people = great ward!

I was admitted to this ward whilst coping with a very complicated medical condition(s). The Edgbaston Ward staff are absolutely wonderful. There is not a single person who doesn't go the extra mile for their patients. Unfortunately, the ward sometimes gets forgotten about because they're based in the old hospital site.

After almost 6 weeks on this ward, I was moved. I miss them all so much! I am now waiting to be transferred to a specialist centre elsewhere - I wish it was Edgbaston!

The care they gave on Edgbaston Ward was second to none. They are a fabulous team - doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, catering and cleaning staff.

I would like to raise money for them in the hope that they will be able to purchase equipment they require (even something as simple as a visitors drinks machine!)

I would really appreciate your help with this. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Thank you
    Laura
    :)

Thank you all so much for your support! I really do appreciate it. I plan to send the current total (£180) to the Edgbaston Ward next week. I am doing much better than I was. I have signed up to 'Race at your Pace' too. I have slowly built up to walking 25 miles every month. That may not sound like much to most people, but considering I was bed-bound for months, it is amazing to be able to do this! You also get a lovely medal - I will post a picture of my September medal when I get it! All the very best to you all! Laura :)

So I was transferred to the specialist London hospital on Tuesday. Got lots of testing over 3 days. It's going to be full on but I'm focusing on getting home... hopefully soon!! I'm selling stuff from my flat this week, so will be adding some donations to this page myself and will highlight which ones they are. I'll keep you all updated 😊 Laura x

I would like to help the ward that took such great care of me. In recent months, my health issues have started to link together. I am a complex case and the Edgbaston team were amazing. I would love to try to help them raise money.
