Story
I am an airline pilot with a Scottish airline called Loganair, I love the work I do working in the highlands and islands flying folks to hospital, to visit relatives or simply going on their holidays. I became a pilot nearly 30years ago and in order to get a license spent £37000, sold my house and all the assets of my self employed business to fund it. ive been to Africa with Mission aviation fellowship and have worked with Loganair for 22years. I met Mark Morrison and immediately picked up his passion for flying, and along with many other pilots have been encouraging him to get his airline transport pilots license and get a job with Loganair. He is a young man with a vision to be an airline pilot. Would you help me to raise money for Marks training, He’s too shy to do this on his own so I asked him if he would mind me doing it for him. If you are passionate about aviation and never had the chance to get in a plane anything you can afford to give will help me get this young man into a flying school and further his dream. He already funded his private pilots license, and just cant get enough of aeroplanes. He has managed to pick up a small ammount of funding from a trust, which will help him to get started. He needs our help to get through the big bit , about £75-80 K will break the back of the training. A lot of money, but i feel that we should help Mark. Please join me, make a donation!

Mark says “I was a Scout for many years until I was too old, which gave me great skills in many different areas. I then went on to become an Air Cadet as soon as I was old enough. I am still an Air Cadet to this day and hold the rank of Flight Sergeant. We are a small squadron, 1731 Isle of Lewis Squadron. Air Cadets has allowed me to learn so much and develop important life skills. I've attended camps with them and recently won Best Drill NCO at drill competition. I worked hard in school achieving seven National 5's including Maths, English, Physics, Computing Science, Engineering Science, Geography and Gaelic. I achieved four A's and three B's. The following year I completed five Highers including Maths, English, Physics, Computing Science and Engineering Science. An A, three B's and a C at Higher. I was elected as chair of our pupil council in school various years running and enjoyed getting involved in as much as I could. I was also elected as a prefect.
I have recently just left school and am working for Loganair as a Customer Service Agent in Stornoway. I absolutely love it. It is such an amazing experience and to me, is a step in the right direction to achieving my ambition of becoming a pilot. I am getting the opportunity to speak to so many pilots and also learn how things work on the ground. It is amazing to get up every morning and feel really excited to go to work. Already being employed by the airline is a massive advantage for me as I'm hoping to start my career with Loganair.”
Let’s help him achieve his ambition folks!
