Story
'This Woman's Work', is a community art project by Glasgow photographer Elaine Livingstone and Glasgow chef Joanne Munro, that will see the Drying Green at Glasgow Green returned to its former glory to mark the hard work, community spirit and inter-generational support of Glasgow women through the ages for International Women's Day 2019. Thirty sheets, generously donated by Glasgow's Grand Central Hotel, will be hung in the Drying Green on the morning of 8 March 2019, with each sheet being sponsored in the hope to raise at least £1000.00 to share equally between Glasgow Women's Library and Women's Support Project (Glasgow). We are asking for a single or group donation of £33.33 per sheet which will meet our target of raising £1000.00, if all thirty sheets are sponsored. Any donations are gratefully recieved on behalf of both charity's, so if you wish to donate a smaller (or larger amount) please do so with many many thanks from all of us involved.
