As most of our local facebook friends are aware our dear friend Lurch (Stephen Simpson) was very recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of mouth cancer. It’s been a turbulent few weeks for Ste and Angela including painful surgeries and now his intense radiotherapy and chemo at Christie’s Hospital. For this reason and with Ste’s consent I have set up a donation page. Ste obviously cannot work and it will be unlikely he will be able to return for quite some time, your donations would help greatly for items such as groceries, bills and taxis down to Christie (his appointment times differ each day and it won’t always be possible to secure a lift). Many of you have offered to help, well this would. I’m not asking anyone to ‘dig deep’…the smallest of offerings here or there could really make the difference and release a bit of pressure. I would be grateful if some of you would share this post also as the more of Stephen’s friends it reaches the better. 💙💙 xx
