My dad and I were due to be running the London Marathon this year together to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Dad, unfortunately, had a major stroke in February and has been hospitalised since, therefore I am now running this alone and hope to make him very proud! My aim was to raise at least £5,000 for this amazing charity. I have now hit my target for the marathon and would love to continue fundraising on this page in order to name a guide dog puppy in memory of my nan who passed away in December. Our family has been lucky enough to enjoy the love and affection of dogs all our lives and most recently took on a withdrawn guide dog 'Jenna' who has been such wonderful company for us all. I can think of no better way of raising funds to enable a partially sighted person to enjoy the love, help and support of a Guide Dog.
