on the 1st of december 2018 i was doing gymnastics at a club competition and hurt my knee. We went to the doctors and they said i had tore my acl and that i will need surgery if i want to continue doing gymnastics. It was such a shame as i was supposed to be representing great britain in july of 2019 (this year) and unfortunetly i will not be able to attend. it is now march and we were hoping to have the surgery by now but it looks like we will have to wait a minimum of 4 months more now and the recovery time after the surgery is 9-12months. I was hoping to get back to gymnastics asap and if it takes this long then i may not be able to attened any other of the big cometitions coming up either. Me being a 14 year old girl, im quite active and now as i haven’t been doing sport for a while i get very bored and frustrated. This £6000 will help pay for me to have private acl reconstuction surgery and help me get back on the road to recovery much quicker. thank you for ur help and support x
