Story
Whilst studying as a student nurse myself here in Southampton, i wish to broaden my knowledge and help those in less affluent areas to the best of my abIlity. The population in Ghana is ever growing and so is Malaria. Some families are unable to get to the nearest hosptial to recieve teeatment or have a health check meaning that they are suffering In pain at home which is resulting in death. Whilst in Ghana i would work closely with their Nurses sharing both their knowledge and my knowledge with one another. We would care for all patients (adults and children), treat ringworm, test for Hep B and Malaria and dress wounds appropriately to avoid infection.
With any money you are willing to donate, i would use it to fund my trip and also support the hospital i will be working in. This includes providing equipment they may deselrately need. I would also be staying with a host family within the community and i wish to offer them a gift as evidence of my grattitude.
