Story
After making the decision to definitely partake and complete the London Marathon before I was 30, I have finally managed to get a place aged 41.
Having never run more than 10km, this has been a challenging but so far rewarding experience of how far a person with no running experience can reach the almighty distance of 26.2miles.
I have decided to use this opportunity to raise money for Christchurch Primary School on Shooters Hill SE18. The school are trying to raise money to resurface and add further outdoor sports equipment to the school playground which is in desperate need of an update.
This will be the only time I ask you for money, I promise, and definitely the only time I will run this distance, so all donations are gratefully received.

5 years agoSo the final result is as follows 1. Fastest marathon time ever done (by me) 5hrs 10mins 2. One and half toenails lost 🤮 3. A absolutely incredible day that I will never attempt again 4. £1500 donated to the school playground fund, which honestly is such an amazing amount raised by my friends and family. Along with some excellent work from the Headteacher, the full amount of money has now been raised and I look forward to the new playground sometime later in the year. Thank you all xxxx
