n 2017 I spent some time in Kampala, Uganda as part of the team from the Church of Ireland and Methodist chaplaincy at QUB. During this time I learnt a lot and was humbled to be able to contribute to improving the lives of young people in Uganda. I have been blessed with an opportunity to revisit the projects I was involved with 2 years ago and to see how God has blessed those who serve Him and the children in their care. Abaana continue to provide support to street kids and the New Life Home Scheme providing housing, education and care for sponsored street kids. I look forward to reconnecting with some of the staff, volunteers and children.

During the 2nd part of the trip the males from the team will go to XXX to a building project in a remote area of central Uganda. The girls will spend some time in Wakisa, which is a charity set up to support women who have young children or have become pregnant in an environment that they feel unsafe in. The women learn skills to help them make money when they leave the program.
