These women have all experienced abuse and come to this community centre to seek the support network they need. A group of girls from my school are going out to Sri Lanka to help rebuild essential hygiene and living spaces. This includes relaying the floors, building new toilets to improve health and creating a new kitchen for the women. These challenges will ensure that all of us will learn new skills and that we will leave Sri Lanka knowing these women will feel more safe and welcomed in their community.
