My name is Emilie Carey; I am 16 years old and a medic cadet with St John Ambulance. St John Ambulance is an international charity covering major events such as London marathon. So far I have contributed in excess of 200 voluntary hours.

St John have opened up the opportunity in 2020 for their cadets to attend Cape Town South Africa at an international event.

With applications reaching over 100 and only 24 successful applicants able to partake in this event, it is an absolute privilege to say that my application was successful and I have the opportunity to represent St John in Cape Town.

To attend this fantastic event i need to fundraise £1300.00. I plan to organise bake sales, jumble sales, car boot sales and go bag packing at local supermarkets.
