Barney our beloved 16-seater mini bus took ill at our last camp and is in desperate need of repair. We are a large Scout Group in Darlington Co. Durham with 80+ young people girls and boys aged 6 to 100! In a deprived area of the town. Our minibus Barney who we fundraised and saved for over 4 years to buy has a broken seal and used all his oil meaning his engine has seized and needs replaced. We're looking at a bill of around £2500 in total and are asking for help from anyone who can donate to get Barney back on the road. The group uses the bus for camps at the campsite The Cabin on Raby Estate and for days out and activities we also let other Scout & Charities in the area use him for a minimal cost. Without Barney we will be unable to offer the same amount of camping and activities in 2019 and this will stop our young people from gaining #Skillsforlife making new friends, overcoming boundary's, challenges and making life long memories.
