Story
My name is Emily Sully and I am a year 11 pupil at Wymondham High School. In the Summer of 2019, I have the opportunity to travel to Cambodia for 4-week expedition, which includes a boat to the fascinating floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, experience the energetic hustle and bustle of the Siem Reap Night Markets and gain a new perspective on life at the Killing Fields and S21 Prison.
I will be challenge myself on a 5-day trek through the vibrant jungle, taking in the incredible sights and atmosphere before pitching a tent for a night’s sleep under a monk’s pagoda.
My colleagues and I will be travelling with Camps International and the complete expedition will be self-funded. Whilst on the expedition, I will be undertaking community, wildlife and environmental project work.
Projects
The projects are a big part of the expeditions and the hard work we undertake will really make a huge difference to the local community. You will find further details and a project report at:

My fundraising
For this, I am currently working part-time, one evening a week after school as a Swimming Assistant. I am also attending car boot sales selling my outgrown possessions, my parents loft treasures and kind donations from friends and colleagues.
It is not all easy going –I have set myself some challenges. I am in training (by walking the Peddars’ Way and other tracks around Norfolk) to undertake an 84 miles sponsored walk from coast to coast following Hadrian's Wall and climbing Scafell Pike in Easter 2019.
