    Story

Having left my husband due to domestic violence and him being arrested for being drunk whilst looking after our daughter (he left her in a pub in her pushchair while he drank several pints and the police took her away), we now need urgent help with living costs whilst I apply for benefit and try to find work. My husband was the main earner but is currently refusing to give us any money and we are waiting to go to court to seek financial orders. I am a qualified lawyer so I hope to find work soon, but we have no money for utility bills or groceries and my daughter is about to run out of nappies and needs new shoes. We need urgent help! I hate asking anyone for assistance as I did my degree with the Open University and worked full time to pay for it, so I am very independent usually, but I need to provide for my daughter for the next month or two until we get to court.
