Story
We are holding a Fundraising Race Night on 23rd November in Carluke Masonic Hall to raise funds to help with travel and accomodation costs to allow Emma Ruthven to compete at the top level of her sport (karate).
Emma is current Scottish, British and Polish Open Champion, Basel Masters Champion, Scottish Open Champion, European bronze medalist, along with many other podium finishes in Junior Female Kata. She is current Junior Sports Personality of the year for both Clydesdale District and South Lanarkshire. She is a current member of both the Scottish National Junior and Senior Karate Squads and will travel with the Senior Squad in November to Madrid to compete in the Senior World Championships at the tender age of 16. She has had an immense year to date.
All these trips, which can be upto two per month, unfortunately, are self funded with no central government or lottery funding available, hence the reason for fundraising events such as our race night.
Any help would therefore be greatly appreciated.
