    Story

SP and SW are two of many young people who desperately want to train with horses after they finish their education. Because of their special needs they cannot find either an authority or organisation who will fund their training as both students need one to one assistance and supervision.

Our mission is to set up a fund that can award scholarships to cover the costs of these students training. The cost of the training will be very individual as each student will require a greater or lesser degree of help. There will be an application form on which all needs will be identified and thus funding can be apportioned appropriately. This equine assisted training covers many more aspects of life.......students learn independence skills cooking, shopping, working as a team, how to access services such as doctors and dentists...the horses are the bonus!

We aim to offer four scholarships per annum initially and when funding allows we can then offer further funding for these Equine assisted training courses.

no 1) will require one to one at all times to assist with her personal organisation as she has ADHD along with learning difficulties.....when with horses she is a different person , she can concentrate for longer is calmer and the smile on her face lights up the whole yard. She has been in the care system all her life and is experiencing great anxiety about her future as her one dream is to be with horses every day of her life. Funding has been sought through conventional channels to no avail....on offer is hairdressing or shop work this would be very unacceptable for this young lady whose dream is to be surrounded by horses in the open air....

no2 a very quiet young lady has found, following the most horrendous of incidents that Horses have saved her life.....she now wants to work alongside them to return the compliment......this lady has learning difficulties and severe anxiety that stops her from accessing normal run of the mill training situations.

These two cases are just two of the potential students who can be helped.....they deserve an equal chance and for this reason we need to raise the funds. Thank you for your time........and I would say here thank you for your donation no matter how small every little counts. Perhaps you would donate in memory of your favourite horse who helped you along in life?
