Story
Children who experience problems with their mobility, movement or independence need good quality treatment so that they can achieve their maximum potential in life.
In order to be able to provide high quality therapy for these children a physio colleague and I have been converting a business unit into a Therapy Centre. This is bright, light, accessible and has therapy rooms, a hall and a room for changing in it. It is going to be a great place for disabled children and their families to come for treatment so that they can develop their ability to walk, move and achieve greater independence. I am planning to organise groups, individual sessions, specialist training and practical support sessions for families.
I am asking for your help to buy some specialist equipment to use in occupational therapy at this centre, since the building conversion cost more than anticipated, and equiping it is also expensive. I need to buy a height adjustable table, a specialist seat, a changing plinth (I have an offer of one second hand) and some sensory toys to use in occupational therapy sessions.
All money donated will be used to purchase toys and equipment that will mean that children can start having treatment as soon as the building has been opened.
