    Story

Meet Erin who is 2 years old. Erin was born with a rare genetic skin disorder called Epirdermolysis Bullosa (Recessive Dystrophic Eb). Her skin is extrenily fragile and blisters at the slightest touch. Erin needs morphine daily to help ease the pain from large blisters that leave open wounds all over her body, not only on the outside of her skin but internally too. Her skin can be at risk of an agressive skin cancer, there is no cure only bandages as a method of protection. Since Erin has started walking she has endured many trips and falls which have left her hands, knees and feet scared and very fragile. Erin is a normal toddler who loves adventure, she enjoys playing outside and during the summer months, she loves to play in the garden with her 4 year old brother. We are raising money to make Erin‘s garden a safer place to play. We would like to patio the garden ensuring its level and easily cleaned so she can play outside with less chance of tripping over or getting an infection. We would love to see Erin outside more during summer months. If you could help by giving as little or as much as possible you would not only be helping Erin but helping her family too, living with eb is a constant worry its a relentless job with not many rewards. As soon as you heal one wound another one appears. Being able to let Erin play - reducing the risks is one less worry, you cant hold them back due to risks you just have to adapt your surroundings! Eb is a horrific cruel disorder! Erin is a happy, playful little girl with the strength of a super hero! She is always smiling even when her skin is torn under her bandages! She’s a little inspiration who deserves to play safely. She has touched many hearts for being so couragous at the small age of 2. Recently a little 6 year old girl Emily visited Erin at her home with her Mum Kelly, Emily wants to cut her ponytail off and donate it to the princess trust, Emily told her mummy ‘she wanted to give her hair so Erin can play safe’, This act of kindness is beautiful to see, shes only 6 years old, very empathetic and caring. Please help Emily raise some money for Erin‘s play area and make two very special girls happy.
