My name is Erin, I’m 16 and in July 2019 I am travelling to Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa where we will be helping the conservation and the local community. The expedition is centered on wildlife conservation and provides us with hands on wildlife experience whilst working behind the scenes on a game reserve. During the trip we also participate in focussed community development projects and spend time in local villages. The trip is primarily aimed at helping some of the poorest communities in the world. This expedition is purely a functional trip where we aim to help the less fortunate and is not a comfortable, laid back experience.
