Weʼve raised £770 to keep the Errol Church Bells ringing!

Funded on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

    Story

Since 1902 Errol village has enjoyed the sight of the clock and the sound of the church bells ringing. A sound which encaptulates the spirit of this wonderful village. Sadly this sound has been silenced of late as there has been a mechanical fault which needed repair.

The church bell fund couldn’t cover this cost so the bells had to stop ringing. However, the community has come to the rescue. Local businesses including Alibobs, Mackies, the Post Office, Errol Chippy and the Pub have made signifant donations to get the ball rolling. In addition to this a very generous anonymous donation has allowed the first stage of the repair to be undertaken today.

These donations have allowed the bells to start ringing again but we need more support to sustain the ongoing maintenance costs to keep the bells ringing. We‘re reaching out for any donations, however small.

Donations will be gratefully received and will solely be used for the maintenance of the bells.

Thank you so much for supporting our magnificant village.

Great idea - my girls knew when to come home when the bells chimed and they are so much part of the village
