    Story

"Having recently been offered an unconditional offer of a place on the Master of Science Project Management and Innovation program by the University of Strathclyde Business School, I would like to appeal for funding. With my current experience as a Projects Officer for Students For Malawi (SFM), I wish to expand my knowledge of project management and turn my focus towards delivering up to standard and sustainable projects in the community I work in.

My desire to study Project Management has been influenced by the passion I have developed over the years that I have been working for Students For Malawi through the local charity Chisitu Action for Development (CAD). Being an organisation that work with students during their summer holidays, it is absolutely important to keep the projects in line with the duration of the holidays. Being trained in projects management will help me come up with strategies that will ensure all projects are finished in a scheduled time period. Furthermore, establishing schedules will help to avoid delays in the execution of the projects thereby avoiding cost overruns that result from increased prices of materials.

Studying in United Kingdom will help me build skills such as creative thinking, being able to work on my own initiative and strong team work and communication skills. In particular, project management and innovation will help me gain a thorough understanding of the role of projects in delivering innovation and change in products, processes and services.

British degrees are highly regarded by employers as they have a strong emphasis on practical experience whether this is in a laboratory work, research projects or case studies. With the climate change, Malawi is in a great need for well qualified people who can come up with innovative and sustainable development projects. When I return after my studies I want to be able to serve my country with great management and innovative skills. "

    Evance Morra, 2018

**Note: Should the attempt fall short, holding Evance back from completing a Masters level degree in Scotland and fulfilling his potential, then all money will be refunded. It must also be recognised that should we reach the required monies with additional support of a grant/scholarship then this will be added to "the pot" along with your donations.
