This summer I will be going to Zambia on a World Challenge with Outlook Expeditions. As part of the trip, we will be working in the village of Mwandi. Here we will complete a building project using traditional African methods, which will eventually house elderly members of the community or orphans who have lost their parents due to the Aids pandemic. We will also have the opportunity to help out in the local school, spend time with the church community and visit the old people's home.

I am mostly funding this trip myself by babysitting, bake sales and other jobs. However to raise funds for this project I will be doing the thing I hate most- running! In May I will be running a 10K race, I am dreading it already but I'm hoping it will be worth it if I can raise money towards the building project.
