So...this morning I've heard the awful news that two young, beautiful & courageous ladies have tragically lost their lives. To lose the one's we love at any time of year is the worst news we could ever hear & spend a lifetime healing from. Christmas always heightens these emotions as we all miss them sharing in what is for most of us a wonderful family time. We are all guilty of getting far to caught up in the worry of who's hosting, who's coming, we need a bigger & better tree than last year, who do I need to buy for, if I buy for them, then I need to buy for them too, if they buy for me, then I should buy for them too. It's a never ending cycle we put ourselves through every year & for what?! A depleted bank balance, the stress of cramming it all in around our already busy lives, worrying about somehow pleasing everyone, when really all that matters to all of us is being with the one's we love, as over the course of the rest of the year we don't get together often enough. For most of us our families are a true blessing, all the gifts we will ever receive could not replace them. Please everyone STOP in amongst the Christmas mayhem & spare a though for those who are much less fortunate than ourselves. The list is endless...homeless, elderly living alone, children in care, terminally ill who won't get the privilege of spending another Chritmas with their families, people with mental health issue's who struggle so much more at this time of year, families on low incomes who won't be able to afford to feed their children a Christmas meal, let alone buy them all the presents that they wrote to Santa for. There is so much wealth in this world, but sadly far more poverty which most of us rarely STOP to acknowledge or make any effort to do anything about. It's not a criticism, it's just life. Please during whatever festivities you will all be enjoying with your loved one's, please STOP to toast, or share a thought of those who are not so fortunate & to really appreciate how lucky we all are to be who we are & to have what we have through our own achievements. Better still, if you would be generous enough to spare a few pounds, or pence to donate to my just giving page. I would like to raise enough money to be able to rally a few willing volunteers together for Christmas morning to take some hot drinks & food to share with our ever growing homeless community. For them I am sure that it will make being alone & homeless a tiny bit easier to bare. Thank you in advance for reading this far & for your generous heart. 💖
