The friends of Buckie Square Memorial Gardens are a volunteer group looking to tidy up and regenerate the Memorial Garden area of Buckie Square by cleaning up the current weed filled plant beds, repairing the brickwork, painting any areas that need freshening up and providing seating in the area to provide a suitable place of remembrance and relaxation.

This should also have a positive effect in general for the area by making the area more attractive thus encouraging people to spend time and money with the businesses local to the area.

Sustainability is key to the success of this volunteer project to the money raised will be spent on plants and materials that will give a lasting improvement. We hope that as more people get involved that the maintenance will take on a social role as well as proving an area that local groups from schools, youth groups, special needs groups and more can get involved with long term.
