As many of you already know my daughter, Cara, has a very nasty, aggressive and hard to treat cancer called Chondrosarcoma of the nasal cartilage.

Her Oncology team at Ninewells have rolled out the biggest guns possible to treat this b’stard. She’s already endured the toughest of chemotherapy regimes not without long lasting side effects. She’s now starting a heavy radiotherapy 33 day round of treatment. Again not without its risks which include possible permanent damage to her sight. The Oncology folks are fantastic and doing all they can.

But we’ve also looked at supporting their efforts and to reduce the risk of the side effects as much as possible. Cara has been accepted by The Camphill Wellbeing Trust in Aberdeen for intensive Mistletoe Therapy . We have researched this extensively and felt it is one of the best options with a long term sound track record for treating cancer side effects. This organisation is a charity and does not ask any of its patients for payment. It relies on donations.

Many of my family, friends and colleagues have said “Just let me know if there is anything I can do”. Well, here is something you can do; support Cara through the next few months of treatment with a small donation to the Charity.
