    Story

    Meet Irene.

Mum and Wife and Grandma. Married to Tom, ex RAF Squadron Leader who served 38 years in the RAF as an armourer. They have now been married for over 60 years and have had a wonderful life together, and still do. They sadly live apart with Irene needing full time care. Proud Mum to Ken ( here with her) Iain and Linda. She was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2010.

Irene was born in Scotland. Irene's younger years were fun and full of life. She was a Carer herself to her Mother for many years and she took her responsibilities as a carer very seriously. Her love of music and dancing gave her many happy times and it is how she met 'her Tom'. The most fundamental moments that she shares with her family are through music. She taught music to children from home for many years and enjoyed playing on her organ at home with Tom.

Ninja-Beats was inspired by Irene and the moments we have shared with her through music. Music allows Ken to spend time with his lovely Mum and create new memories with her. Although Irene doesn't always remember who she is, we remember and see her through the times we spend together and learn about her love of life and music though the tunes she enjoys. Irene also loves cake and sweet treats so how could we not have these too!

We want to create that experience for others to enjoy too and to create new memories together through music and dancing! ....oh and of course, TEA!
