My name is Roberto (32) and the doctors have given me up. Fortunately my family and friends do not. I am engaged to Priscilla (25) and we have 2 children.

Recently I have been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

ALS is one of the most serious and debilitating diseases of the nervous system with an average life expectancy of 3-5 years after the first symptoms.

Immediately after the unexpected diagnosis we were told that the doctors cannot do anything for us. And then ... then you go home. There was a roller-coaster waiting for us and the only thing we could do was 'boarding', boarding in something we do not know how true and when it ends.

Treatment

I would like to tackle this opportunity, the hope that comes with it and the strength you give. Fortunatamente la mia famiglia e gli amici non lo fanno. Sono fidanzato con Priscilla (25 anni) e abbiamo 2 figli.

Recentemente mi è stata diagnosticata la sclerosi laterale amiotrofica (SLA).

La SLA è una delle malattie più gravi e debilitanti del sistema nervoso con un'aspettativa di vita media di 3-5 anni dopo i primi sintomi.

Subito dopo la diagnosi inaspettata ci hanno detto che i medici non possono fare nulla per noi. E poi ... poi vai a casa. C'era un ottovolante che ci aspettava e l'unica cosa che potevamo fare era "salire a bordo", salire su qualcosa che non sappiamo come è vero e quando finisce.

Trattamento

Se senti che c'è un trattamento contro la SLA che prolunga la tua aspettativa di vita e che i tuoi sintomi sono notevolmente ridotti? Se riesci a vedere crescere i tuoi figli. Cosa faresti?

Vorrei affrontare questa opportunità, la speranza che ne deriva e la forza che offre.
