In June 2019, I'll be on a trip to El Jute, Honduras with Global Brigades in order to deliver free legal assistance to them.

Under the Global Brigade's Legal Empowerment Program, through work shadowing with Hondurans lawyers, we intend to provide legal clinics, educational workshops as well as helping Hondurans to solve existing legal issues within their families.

A wide population of Hondurans who live in the rural agricultural community as mentioned earn as low as $10 per month and could barely afford their access to justice as it would cost them an average of $250 to schedule a session with a licensed laywer, not to mention they need take a couple of hours to make their way to the urban areas, which could cost them dearly.

Apart from that, as most of the less developed countries does, most of the Hondurans aren't aware of the fundamental legal rights they're entitled to as a human being, for instance, right to education, domestic violence and child abuse. During this trip, we'll be organising educational workshops, in an attempt to raise the awareness of basic human rights within the community.

We aim to try our best to ease their burden, raise their awareness and make a slight difference in their life.

The donation of £1300 will help to finance my flight tickets and basic necessities needed in Honduras while working with Global Brigades.
