Since I was young I have always wanted to be able to give back to a community or too people who aren't as fortunate as me, when this project came along I felt called to go and volunteer. I will be working with the charity “Think Pacific” in Fiji helping a government scheme to develop local communities who are less fortunate; 1/3 of the population are living in poverty, less than 50% have access to proper sanitation and fresh water.

Living in the UK meant that as a child I was entitled to an education, if I was a child in Fiji I would of only had a 5% chance of having an early education. Whilst out in Fiji, teaching children on the vital one-to-one basis will be the daily routine as well as helping children with not only developing their educational abilities but also their other abilities. After the morning one-to-one teaching we participate in extra-curricular actives which include music, art and sport helping the children develop skills you can't teach in the classroom.

If you are able to give please do and help me make a difference to these children lives, when I go out there I will be taking educational supplies for the children which will be left there for them as well as sporting equipment for them to keep and use. Small gifts such as these make huge a huge difference to children out there,
