    Story

With the building refurbished and open, it will be available for community needs.

I will be cycling from Ashford in Kent to Penzance in Cornwall between Sunday 27th May and Tuesday 29th May, a distance of 355 miles, to raise money for the refurbishment of the church building at 42 Cudworth Road, South Willesborough, Ashford, Kent. The church has met in the local school for many years but is hidden and only open for 3 hours each week. Our new building has been empty for the last few years and currently is just a shell but is visible in the local community. We want to put in another floor with offices and meeting rooms, a fitted kitchen, and toilets with a shower, and most importantly restore the building to its use as a church at the centre of the local community, including working with both the homeless and the lonely in Ashford.

Just a few days to go until the start of the ride at 8am on Sunday morning. Ride Ashford to Petersfield on Sunday, Petersfield to Exeter on Monday, and finally Exeter to Penzance on Tuesday. Training has gone well & I completed a 94 mile ride last Saturday and am out 4 evenings this week riding 30 miles on the way home from work, and the body feels good. I am now just ready to get on with it, and get the job done
