    Story

I can't believe the support I've received so far - I've been able to get armour more or less sorted and I'v QUALIFIED for TEAM SCOTLAND!!! So Now I just need to work out a way to get me, my kit and my camp out to UKRAINE!

As I've said before - armour isn't cheap and my plan was to buy second hand wherever possible - I've done well with this and have managed to piece together most of a full set!

Should I manage to go above and beyond my goal it may allow me to get some new, made for me items and any extra funds raised beyond the cost of armour will go towards travel costs for IMCF 2019 - namely to help get a van with all the armour out to Kiev and back again!

Now, not wanting to make this into a sympathy vote, but to answer something that I keep getting asked; I'd be using my savings or similar for funding my armour if they hadn't been blown out the water by cancer - yep... the big C. I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. Suffice to say, with the operation, checks, scans, xrays etcetcetc this took me out of action for some time and mean we had to rely on what we had saved to get me to and from hospital. Then Lily, my wife, was diagnosed as Brca2 positive, meaning SHE then had to go through surgeries to remove the risk of her developing cancer... So it's been a hard few years. Cancer is not fun, but it is not an excuse for rolling over and giving up, and so I'll keep fighting and take that "nothing beats me" attitude into the lists with me and kick some ass!

I've sourced Sabatons! now it's just thighs and knees to go - then the travel costs for competing...We're doing this event in Ukraine on a shoe-string budget, so every pound donated is massively appreciated.
