The villages of Ashprington and Tuckenhay are in need of their own defibrillators. Located some 15 to 20 minutes away from Totnes and the nearest ambulance station, training in CPR and ready access to a defibrillator could be the difference between life and death for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
Of course, aquisition of an AED, installation, and the associated ongoing costs that go with the running, maintenance, insurance, and training in use of the defibrillator do not come cheap so to boost the fundraising efforts so far, on April 23rd I will be running the Plymouth Half Marathon and am asking for donations towards this cause in support of my efforts. It's been a while since I last donned a pair of running shoes and I can assure you that completing the 13.1 miles will be no mean feat so every single penny donated will be very much appreicated.
