    Story

Reiss has cerebral palsy. He was diagnosed at 8 months and he is now 15 years old. This condition causes Reiss to have increased muscle tone which effects his daily living. He needs help dressing, feeding and generally getting around on a daily basis. He also has learning difficulties and attends a das unit at Glenrothes high school, Reiss is currently in 4th year. He uses sign language for communication and has a bank of 10 words or so that he can say. Although Reiss faces all these difficulties in his everyday life you'll not meet a happier little boy. He loves a party, having company and loves a good silly laugh and he is a joy to have around.
Unfortunately Reiss' mobility declined around 3 years ago. This was caused by a mixture of a huge growth spurt, change in medication that he takes for epilepsy and sadly his dad passed away in 2012 with cancer.

Reiss' mum Fiona is an inspiration who does everything she can to provide for him and ensure he still lives a fulfilling and joy filled life. Fiona takes part in many activities with Reiss as it is essential he is physically active in order for his muscles to remain strong, his favourites are swimming and horse riding. Fiona also tries to keep Reiss moving as much as possible by limiting the use of his wheelchair which is effective for his muscles but can also be difficult.

There are not many social clubs Reiss can go to as there are none in his local area, however Fiona recently found a club based in Dunfermline which is a twenty minute drive from her home. This club is called race running and it would give Reiss vital physical exercise that he needs to sustain strength in his muscles but also he can have fun and socialise with peers who have similar disabilities.

Unfortunately, in order to join Reiss has to provide his own bike at a cost of £2000. Please help us raise this money so Reiss can continue his journey in life happy and healthy. Thank you.
