We have had to postpone our wonderful Henstridge Summer Festival this year due to the COVID-19 Crisis. However, your HSF Team are still brimming with festival energy and have been working hard in the background to bring you a bigger and even better festival in 2021

Our festival in 2019 would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. However, due to the crisis we have not been able to safely go out and source further sponsorship, also, many of our previous sponsors have had their businesses deeply affected by COVID-19.

So, we got thinking and have come up with our "Flower Power Competition". This is a competition where all of our community, across the ages, can join together to decorate their front gates and fencing (or anywhere else) with beautiful flowers that they have made out of plastic bottles (or any other materials that you might like to use - wood, metal etc). Let your imagination run wild!

The instructions on how to make our plastic flowers can be found on Next Door, the HSF Facebook page and in hard copy at the village shop.

The idea is for you to come up with your own whackiest, innovative, weatherproof designs, and most of all to join together in having fun!

How to Enter

Entry is open to all - including folk from villages outside of Henstridge.

1. Entry to the competition costs £4 - paid here to our Just Giving Fund. You must put your name and contact number to your payment so that we can contact you should you be one of our winners!

2. Take pictures of your displayed flowers and upload them onto our HSF Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/henstridgesummerfestival/ .

The Competition Closes for entries on September 30th 2020 - so get creating!

Winners will be announced as soon as possible following the closing date.

Prizes

The winning flowers in each age category will have a pride of place position at the next festival with the creators names alongside them.

In addition there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for three age categories: Adults, Youths and Children. Prizes include, Champagne, Wine, Luxury Chocolates, Vouchers, Toiletries, Huge Cuddly Toys and more.

We need each and everyone of you to join in, get your creative heads on and support our cause to raise money for our next festival, bringing back to our village that wonderful community vibe that we all shared in last year.

All of the flowers we make will be used to decorate our next festival, celebrating how our village community spread 'flower power' and came together to decorate our wonderful village during this global crisis.
