    Story

Our aim is to crowdfund a selection of children's books which are inclusive, challenge stereotypes, include positive role models and reflect the reality of our world community in all its diversity.

The school libraries need to stock a diverse range of fiction and non-fiction, picture and fact books which would educate children about Black History, stories that celebrate families in all their diversity, and include diverse characters of colour, strong, female protagonists and boys that are not afraid to be different. These books would then be donated to Hythe primary schools to offer teachers, children and parents a broader range of books. This will hopefully support work being done to address inequalities, raise self esteem and encourage empathy and awareness in our children.

Check our Facebook page @HytheBooksForChange , Instagram @HytheBooksForChange and Twitter @HytheBooks for fundraising events, book lists and where to buy them ethically and locally and which schools we have donated to. If you want to get involved in some way please make contact via hythebooksforchange@gmail.com

With thanks to The Book Den, Hythe, who are supporting us with access to their discounted books.

We believe in the power of our children, change can happen.

    Thank you for your donation.
